I am scheduled for a 3d ultrasound with my OBGYN on November 10th... then they will do all the measurements of the baby including a gender scan....
but my impatience allowed me to find out the gender just a little bit early.
on saturday, at 18 weeks 5 days, i had an ultrasound done at one of those fun little outside facilities... pictures aren't the best quality... but awesome for the price we paid...
we got to spend 15 minutes watching our baby moving around inside me... viewing the head, arms, legs, hands, feet, heart, belly, spine and genitalia.. :)
here is the best image we could get of Tiggerbean's profile... i labeled the important features:
if you look closely you can even see one shoulder and one part of an arm...
i now have that image as my desktop at work.. and i just cannot stop looking at it... it is simply amazing to me that this child is growing inside me...
while watching the ultrasound, the baby seemed restless.. arms were constantly moving up and down... first the baby was facing my back, the turned over facing my front, then turned facing my side... jumpy little thing.. and aptly named after Tigger it seems :)... and at one point it seemed like one of the hands was in the perfect position for some thumb sucking... but we couldn't see THAT clearly to tell...
but what we could see, because the legs were perfectly spread eagle is.....
Tiggerbean is a girl !!! :)
i would be very surprised if this assesment of her assets is wrong.... even i could tell before the tech said so....
i am having a little girl.
i always wanted a girl.. no matter how much i wanted a boy for my husband and for his parents and for my parents... for myself.. i always wanted a girl... and now i am having one... i feel soooo emotional about this i am actually crying right now just thinking about it...
i am so in love with this child it surprises me... i always knew motherhood would be wonderful.. but i never imagined how it would FEEL.
