houston, we have a heartbeat!!!

over last weekend while i was working, i had been feeling a lot of pain in my right side that reminded me of when i would have a cyst on my ovary burst in the past.... considering how hard we have tried to achieve this pregnancy, you can imagine my worry wiht any sharp pain, recognisable or not.... unfortunately, my Reproductive Endocrinologist is still out of town, so my IVF nurse there suggested i go to my OBGYN to see if they would do an ultrasound to try to find the source of the pain.... and they did.

On Monday 7/12/10, i had my first ultrasound and even got to see a tiny little heartbeat...being only 6 weeks along at that point, it's still too small to hear.. but we surely could see it just beating away....

as for the pain, they said my ovaries and everything else around there look fine... but my OBGYN has this theory.... my ovaries are working so hard to produce the hormones needed to help sustain the pregnancy, but the patches are doing the job for them,.. so they start to complain, because they can...... well.. with all my history and problems, that theory actually makes sense to me.

but right now, the only thing i care about... is that Houston, we have a heartbeat!!!!!!!
